The Lenovo LOQ 15IRX10 is an entry-level gaming laptop that allows me to play moderately demanding games smoothly in Full HD. I play most games without stuttering at at least 60 frames per second. The laptop feels sturdy, but a bit heavy.
Powerful NVIDIA RTX 5000 graphics card
The Lenovo LOQ has an NVIDIA RTX 5060 graphics card. The laptop easily handles light games. I play Minecraft at over 100 frames per second on the highest settings. I also play shooters like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 smoothly in Full HD with high or ultra settings at over 60 fps. Microsoft Flight Simulator and Starfield are demanding on the graphics card. In Flight Simulator, I get a message that the environments are too demanding for the graphics card, even with DLSS support enabled. Starfield barely reaches 60 frames per second with DLSS enabled and all settings on ultra. Nevertheless, most modern games run very smoothly and without stuttering in Full HD.
Gaming look with built-in dock
This Lenovo LOQ laptop has a built-in docking station on the back. This makes cable management easier. All cables are out of sight, keeping my desk clutter-free. It does make the laptop heavy for a 15-inch laptop, thanks to the plastic casing. It feels heavier, making it feel comfortable in your backpack.
Good ventilation
The top of the laptop stays cool while gaming, but it does make noise at the highest settings. However, the graphics card and processor temperatures stay around 60 degrees Celsius, which is normal during gaming. The cooling is located on the back and bottom of the laptop. My desk does get warm when I play demanding games on the laptop. The cooling works well for entry-level gaming, but it's not sufficient for demanding gaming.
