I have the version with i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 1TB HDD and the Nvidia GeForce MX150. A welcome upgrade from my previous laptop from 7 years ago. Very nice laptop, and certainly value for money. I use it daily for school and 3D modelling, where the separate graphics card comes in handy. He/she can easily handle the following programs. I didn't want to spend thousands of euros on a laptop for school, but that is not necessary at all. He/she/it is still not very cheap but for almost any engineering/design/industrial design/mechanical engineering/everyday student this laptop is very suitable in my eyes.
Be careful where you install your programs. Only put the most important ones (for me office and CAD) on your SSD to avoid unnecessary filling. Running from the HDD works just as fast-ish. Also applies to the default save/download location, just poke around in some settings and you'll figure it out. RAM is expandable/replaceable.
Furthermore, it is not an ugly thing to look at, good built-in speakers, battery life is also not bad (hour or 3 3D work, hour or 8 document/browser work). Ridiculously fast booted (15sec). The anti-glare screen is especially nice if you work in a place with a lot of ambient light, you won't be bothered by reflections. Lightweight can't hurt either, and the backlit keyboard is totally chilling when you're sleeping through the night for vears.
