The Lenovo LOQ Essential 15IAX9E is an entry-level gaming laptop for beginning gamers, which is also easy to carry thanks to its small size and low weight. This makes the laptop suitable for schoolwork, for example. I play lighter and older games smoothly in Full HD. I find the screen dull and dark, which makes games look less appealing.
Lightweight and suitable size for portability
The laptop feels light. This is useful when you're on the go a lot, for example, to school or work. It allows me to easily take the laptop to other rooms during my workday. However, the laptop doesn't feel sturdy. This is due to the plastic casing, which also heats up quickly during gaming. I easily connect my gaming mouse via one of the three USB ports on the laptop. The laptop also has multiple USB-C ports and an Ethernet port. The Ethernet port supports up to 2.5 gigabits per second, which ensures a fast, wired internet connection.
Laptop for light full HD gaming
The Lenovo LOQ Essential has an NVIDIA RTX 4050 graphics card. It allows me to play a few light games smoothly in full HD. The Elder Scrolls is an older game, so I play it on ultra settings. The game easily reaches 60 to 80 frames per second, but it looks dark. EA Sports FC 25 easily reached its maximum refresh rate of 144Hz at times. The frame rate also remained stable during stadium shots. I play light shooters like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 smoothly in full HD on high settings at over 100 fps.
Fluid graphics on the 144Hz screen
The 144Hz screen displays images smoothly. During Call of Duty, everything appears smooth on the screen. I rarely drop frames, and all movements look realistic. I also notice this during EA Sports FC. When I play a long ball, the frame rate stays around 100. I also rarely experience image freezes. I do find the dull screen a drawback. I have the brightness set to its highest setting, but in dark rooms, I can't see the game well.
