After 9 years with HP, it was time for a new laptop since I was no longer receiving security updates.
Surface laptops have always appealed to me because of their design, and now that I needed a new laptop, I looked into them for the first time.
I use my laptop for Office, Teams, and some leisure apps, such as YouTube, Netflix, and Ziggo Go. I use my laptop most often in combination with my two 4K Dell monitors equipped with an integrated docking station, and it functions as a third screen; 13 inches is therefore plenty.
When I held the laptop in my hands for the first time after unboxing it, I was happy! It really felt like a premium product. The screen opens smoothly, and the touchpad and keyboard feel great.
The 13-inch ARM 16GB 512GB storage is the perfect choice for me. The laptop boots up lightning fast every time, comparable to a tablet. It drives my two 4K monitors with ease. Teams on one monitor, spreadsheet or video on the other? With ease! The device doesn't get hot either, so it doesn't have any fans. It is so quiet and feels so light.
I am a die-hard Microsoft user, and this laptop and the experience this device provides with the operating system... Top-notch! Logging in with my Hotmail, Office, OneDrive, email, MS Teams, and Edge works perfectly right away and connects seamlessly. And... the operating system is really crispy clean... I sometimes read about bloatware, but well, I haven't encountered anything yet.
My Canon MF655cdw printer works with the MS printer and scan software. Canon does not yet support the ARM architecture.
As far as I'm concerned, this laptop is worth every penny.
